Susan Simmons

With 20 years of experience in the nonprofit world, Susan brings a heart for generosity and a practical approach to personal budgeting. When she realized how few of her coworkers took part in their company retirement plan, she designated herself as their retirement planning advisor, sending out infographics about compound interest and offering to help set up their contributions. It helped that they knew she taught a class on integrating faith and personal finances. Her own financial foundation was shaped by her parents, who have lived debt-free most of her life. Today, she helps clients build simple, sustainable habits that lead to clarity and confidence. Susan lives in the Piney Woods of East Texas with her favorite musician—her husband, Jim—and their sweet, spoiled dog, Bear.
